At 1112 W. Armitage, in the space that held Tarantino's for years, Dimmi Dimmi opened in 2025 with a menu that leans into Italian-American comfort without being defensive about it. Chef Eckfeld's pastas are handmade, the tavern-style pies have good structure, and the red-sauce standards are taken seriously. A hamachi crudo diavolo with almond chile crisp signals that the kitchen isn't simply playing vintage, but the Italian-American classics are the point and they are executed well.
Lincoln Park needed a neighborhood Italian that could hold the room on a weeknight and pull the block on a Saturday, and Dimmi Dimmi fills that role with enough cooking ambition to be interesting rather than just functional. The room's energy is lively without being overwhelming, and the cocktails are classic.
